Savages- Pitchfork Music Festival, Union Park, Chicago, July, 2013

Due to all my rushing around the whole festival, I sometimes had to sacrifice a good spot just to make sure I saw multiple bands. Regretfully I had to settle for a spot about 50 yards away for Savages and it was one of my biggest regrets of the festival. I had heard that they were supposed to be a very fun band live, but being so far away I really didn’t get to experience too much of that. Watching the mosh pit full of people sway as people pushed each other around made me very antsy and agitated because I could not join in. The music itself was great, very punk and easy to head bang along to but this is definitely a band I would love to see in an intimate setting, allowing me to have a little bit more interaction with the band and crowd.
